"When my bible is as worn as my saddle, then I have done my time on this earth.
Welcome to J- Bar Braunvieh in the Panhandle of Texas
Their cows were developed through carcass testing from the Gelbvieh and Braunvieh associations. These genetics will add hybrid vigor to an Angus based herd.
They keep data on each individual calf in the herd from conception to consumption. DNA genetic testing for feed efficiency and tenderness on the herd bulls has greatly enhanced the slow process of generational improvements. Bulls are gain tested and sonogramed with data available upon request. They have had much success in the San Antonio Livestock ShowHouston Livestock Show and TCFA Beef Challenge carcass calves, and Green Springs Bull Test with top honors in each show or contest.
